After a wonderful 8 weeks in the U.S. – 6 weeks of missionary services in churches and 2 weeks of vacation – we arrived at Africa Nazarene University in Nairobi, Kenya early in the morning last Wednesday. It has taken us 4 or 5 nights to get over our jet lag, but we’ve hit the ground running.
Sunday, they welcomed us back to University Church of the Nazarene. Associate Pastor Lucy Kimani preached an anointed sermon on the cost of discipleship. Afterward, Pastor Gift Mtukwa invited people to gather around her and pray. It was Lucy’s last Sunday with us, as she is beginning her M.A. studies at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City. Her testimony was one we told during our home assignment, so we were thrilled to be present at her send-off.
Tuesday, we picked up our new car, a Toyota Passo. We’re enjoying having our own “wheels” and are thankful that your generous deputation offerings made it possible.
We’re excited to embark on this new chapter of our missionary journey, the ANU chapter. Thank you again for your prayers for us!
