Everyone up one level – Words and a pic – April 22, 2015

Greg greets Mr Patrick Mutomba at SATS.

We value our connection with South African Theological Seminary (SATS). They provide a distance B.Th. course of study in French, and we have a small group of West African Nazarene leaders in the program. In the photo, I’m standing next to Mr Patrick Mutomba of SATS, director of the program, alongside whom I serve as an assessor, correcting work our students turn-in. Amy and I were at SATS last Saturday for the dedication of their new administrative offices near Johannesburg. Thank you for praying for our French-speaking Nazarene leaders across Africa as they respond to the rally cry: “Everyone up one level.”

From Amy’s reading:

“Adhere to your purpose and you will soon feel as well as you ever did. On the contrary, if you falter and give up, you will lose the power of keeping any resolution, and will regret it all your life.”

– Abraham Lincoln; cited by Doris Kearns Goodwin, in Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln (New York : Simon & Schuster, 2006), 449.
